This traditional American tune was written by Jonathan E. Spilman, creating a song from a poem written by Robert Burns. This arrangement paints a picture of the Afton River with it's dance like rhythms and sweet melody. It is also one of the alternate melodies for the Christmas lullaby, "Away in a Manger".
