Music for Horn and Harp

Andante Sostenuto by Robert Nicolas-Charles Bochsa(1789-1856), edited by D.K. Fackler            $6.00
This is a great show piece for either valve or natural horn.  Pedals and some fingerings are included  in the harp part (which is the full score) along with parts in Eb and F for horn. It was recorded by Georges Barboteu and Lily Laskine on "Magic of French Horn" and has been reissued on CD. Listen to a sample at amazon.com.

Tempo di Valse by Henri Kling with accompaniment by D.K. Fackler              $4.50

More recommended repertoire for horn and harp:

Algues by Bernard Andrés    Originally written for oboe(or flute) and (lever or pedal) harp, this works very well for horn and harp.  This is always a crowd pleaser when we include it in our recitals. It should be available in many places.  Be sure to download the free
Andrés Notation Guide which explains the special notations used.

Chants d'arriere-Saison for horn and harp
by Bernard Andrés     This is one of our "old friends. We've performed it many times and find that it has great appeal for audiences, even those who think they don't like contemporary music. Erica Goodmann and Soren Hermansson recorded this on their CD, Horn and Harp Odyssey.

This is currently ONLY available from Camac Harps in France.  You can email Jakez or Sophie for ordering instructions. Let them know you want the horn and harp version. The full score includes cello as the solo instrument. To get the horn part, you have to request it. There seems to be no way to order it and get both horn and cello parts. Be patient.
Andrés released this in manuscript and prints more copies when the shop in Paris runs out. If you have trouble, let me know. You might get lucky and find that Kelly Yousoufian has a copy in stock at Michigan Harp Center. Be sure to download the free  Andrés Notation Guide which explains the special notations used.
